Tyler is weighing in at 2 lbs 12 oz!! Woo hooo :) Soon he will be a member of the 3 lb club! His heart rate was a lil fast (at one point 209) earlier this week. It has since slowed down..hanging around 180's. He has had a lot of alarms this week where he turns blue, his heart rate goes way down and then the oxygen in his blood goes way down! Pretty scary. Nurses and doctor say it is normal. After all, he would only be 31 weeks on Sunday. They tell us there will be a day when we can't remember the last time he turned blue and stopped breathing. We are hoping that day comes soon. It hasn't been the best week for Tyler. He gets caffeine every morning. This is to help his breathing. Hmm..i wonder why his heart rate is so high? Doctor says caffeine effects preemies different than adults. She is the doctor. Has been in the NICU for 20 years now, so i'm sure she knows what she is doing :) He could possibly have a hernia. Since he was born so early, his testicles had not dropped into place yet. Sometimes preemies get a hernia from that. Nothing major. Easy fix with surgery.

This week has been exhausting for Josh and I. It really freaks you out when you are sitting there next to him and his alarms starts going off. Neither one of us have been sleeping well this week. We are staying at the hospital again this weekend. It will be nice to have that extra time with Tyler. I plan on doing the kangaroo care this weekend. Skin to skin contact with his mommy :) They say it is therapeutic for both baby and mom :) We could both really use that.

I turn 26 on Monday! Wow, I am getting old. Four years until I am thirty. Everyone keeps asking me what I want for my birthday! What I really want is my sanity back. If you could find it, i would appreciate it! Other than that, I have everything I ever wanted. An amazing husband, a mouthy 4 year old that knows more than his parents, a very loving 3 yr old, and a lil miracle baby who will be joining this crazy family at home in a few months. What more could I possibly want??
