STOP! You might get the "swine flu" if you enter this room! Poor Tyler was in isolation for over a week. It was NO FUN!

To enter the room, you had to wear all of this super cool gear! It got hot and FAST in that small room.

Rooming in with Tyler.

My grandma took the boys and had these pictures taken. These were taken while I was in the hospital on bedrest. Sorry it took so long to post them!

HOME SWEET HOME!

Tyler came home on Thursday. He is on home apnea monitor and 1/8 liter of oxygen. He is doing good. He will go back in about a month to see if he can get rid of oxygen! I will post pictures as soon as i get a chance!

Check out those chubby cheeks !!!

Getting ready to head to surgery....

This is the gear you now have to wear to see Tyler since he has "supposedly" been exposed to the H1N1..sore subject with me! I will just say I don't trust Logansport Memorial Hospital or Express Med in Logan!

Back from surgery. He did great!

Good news and bad news.....

Good news first..... as long as everything goes as planned, Tyler will be coming HOME on Tuesday! Wow!!! I am soo happy our family is finally going to all be under the same roof! Yet, I am so nervous. He has surgery on his hernia tomorrow morning at 7:30. As long as he recovers well from that and we do okay when we "room in" with him on Monday he will be coming home on Tuesday!

Now on to the bad news..... Josh found out tonight he has the H1N1 (SWINE FLU). He was around Tyler on Sunday. I am really hoping he didn't give it to Tyler. Josh is staying with his dad right now. We thought it was best. I CANNOT get and we don't want Jake and Brayden getting sick also. I just went and bought a ton of Clorox wipes and lysol. I am going to be busy tonight. Did I mention I have to be in Lafayette tomorrow at 6:30 before Tyler's surgery. I doubt i get much sleep tonight. I have tooo much to do. I informed the NICU nurses tonight that Josh has the H1N1. They have moved Tyler to the isolation room and I get to wear a gown and mask when visiting. It sucks. But we will do whatever it takes to keep him safe.

Well i better get back to cleaning!

Do you notice anything different??

Tyler has had a BIG exciting day today. Dr. Chua decided Tyler was ready to only have oxygen during feedings. He also no longer has a feeding tube. He is getting all bottle feedings. Things could change however. As always, if Tyler isn't ready he will let us know and he will get his oxygen back and feeding tube as well. I just hope and pray he doesn't need them!

Dr Chua is starting to mention the "H" word... HOME! I am sick of driving to Lafayette to see my baby, but holy crap how am i going to take care of this lil guy? I am going to be a nervous wreck for awhile.

Tyler's friend, Emory is still very sick. He was set to go home last week and got sick right before he was supposed to go home. They are thinking that he has pneunomia. He is back on the vent. The doctors and nurses weren't kidding when they said if these lil guys get sick it could put them back on the vent. Seeing this right before our own eyes has really freaked Josh and I out. We have become friends with Emorys parents. They are the only parents who can really relate to what we are going through. It hurts us deeply seeing them go through this. We are going to do everything possible to make sure nothing like that happens to Tyler.

Once Tyler comes home, the only time he will leave is to go to the doctor. That is IT! We ask that if you would like to see Tyler before he comes home, you come to the NICU. We can't risk him getting sick. He has worked so hard to get where he is at. We will keep him at home this Thanksgiving and Christmas so we have him here next year! I know this sucks for all of you wanting to love on this adorable lil boy, but we don't have any other option! As always, I will continue to post TONS of pictures when he comes home. :)

Big news......

Tyler finally took a bottle tonight! After trying to take it and pretty much choking on the milk, the nurse decided to thicken the milk. It worked and Tyler finally took a bottle without turning that awful color! Woohooo!!!!! Go Tyler :)
These days Tyler is weighing in at 4 lbs 14 oz. Almost FIVE pounds! Feels just like the other day he became a member of the 3 lb club...now he is close to FIVE pounds! Wow :) He is doing really well. Still not taking a bottle. He will get there soon enough though.

Tyler has a lil buddy in the NICU that needs your prayers. Lil Emory was born 9 days before Tyler at 28 weeks. He was supposed to go home very soon, but has a huge setback. We have became very close with his mommy & daddy. It is really nice having someone else who understands exactly what you are going through. We ask that you pray for Emory and his mommy & daddy, the NICU nurses and the doctors taking care of him.

Have a great rest of the weekend :)
